ELGIN, Ariz. -- For our annual girls' weekend we changed locations. We went south this year. Waaaay south. So far south, we had to go through a border checkpoint but we didn't cross into Mexico or anything. (And, no, Austin, I didn't need my passport for this part of my trip.)
The short version of the story is that we stayed at a house owned by a family friend of Sara's.

I really liked that they added designs to the tile. This was my favorite.

Some pretty flowers outside.

Our view.

The porch we didn't get around to using until it was time to take our group photo.

Everest was so pleased to get out of the car when we arrived late Friday.

Whatcha lookin' at? Aren't you happy to be here too? (I was!)

Let's crack open the wine! I forgot to take the usual before and after photo. Oh well.

On Saturday we headed out to the area's wineries. We hit five. Everest was eager to taste the wines as well. He got his turn later. :)

I think we brought out his feminine side. He reached out for a hug from Sara. Something he did to each of us later during the trip. Soooo cute!

He got a great reaction from all of us for that.

So he tried again to get an early taste of the wine. Sorry, dude, glass was empty!

I love how Everest frequently gazed up at his Mommy.

Pouring out our tastes at Kief-Joshua Vineyards.

Back at the house we got ready to eat lunch. Tami cut some bread.

Sara put together the plates.

Mish grabbed my camera and got a shot of our spread.

A close up of one of Sara's plates. Mmmm...wish we had taken some pictures of Mish's breakfast too. Equally wonderful.

Later we gathered for some girl talk and Everest got into the action.

Tami bonds with our male invader.

I sneak a shot of Mish and Sara on the couch.

Everest amuses himself on Tami's lap.

Mish and Everest...I think the little man is getting tired of the camera!

We gather to take our group picture after packing up the cars.

The group shot with Everest amused by my running over after setting up the camera.

Before we left Elgin, we stopped for breakfast and we tried out Everest's new hat. In this photo, Everest was distracted by Mommy waving her keys.

Mmm...sunglasses.

Wait a minute! I think I see a future Wildcat!!
