Baptism and Fathers' Day!

We started the day celebrating the dads. Katie is a pro at opening gifts, so while Pop-Pop held Max, Katie unwrapped her gift for him.

Check it out!

(Love the J-Lo hat!)

A card.

Reading with Max.

The baptism cake.

Glad we got there early. Check out this crowd...wait, they're with us. Actually, getting there this early did afford us time to get the rock star seating.

The paparazzi

As Godmother, I tried to remain respectful and not snap three million pictures during the ceremony...but afterwards...

Several blurry attempts to get a picture of Sharon, Max and I. I feel hopeful that there's a clear shot on Sharon's camera.

Katie took some time to walk around the church. Here she was fascinated with the candles.

We'll just leave the description as "fascinated."

Back at the house, Katie got a special gift from Uncle Brian and Aunt Jenn.

Katie also enjoyed the snacks.

But it was the laying out of the cake that really caught her eye.

What are we waiting for? (It was soon put away as to avoid temptation)

Max and Aunt Jenn

And now, what you've all been waiting for...
How to eat cake, by Katie Fabyanic.

Thank you.

Katie unwraps a gift from my Mom to her and Max.
Always neat, she hands me the tissue paper.

Reaching in...

A teething ring that plays tunes for Max and a stuffed jungle with animals that come out of their "bedrooms" to play.

Katie watches out the window as her Grandma and her cousins leave for the night.
