Sharon joked about having a pretty detailed agenda for my time in Phoenix, but I knew it was based in truth.
Part of her plans included lunch out with the girls. The destination? An oldie. Swenson's. When we were in high school (and college) my Mom would often send us out to Swenson's with a $20 bill, a coupon and a sandwich punch card to go get lunch. The Swenson's locations we used to frequent near the old homesteads have closed, so we went to MetroCenter.

The coupon. I found it amusing that it was next to a Gabio's Pizza...see, I used to call Sharon "Gabby." OK, you had to be there to understand.

Joining us at Swenson's were Kathy and Ben.

Emilee - who after much debate settled on the ice cream cone.

And Carrie. (holding Max) Note the poor posture? The two of them thought they could escape my camera lens. Not so ladies!

A cute picture of Emilee. She was looking for a New Jersey quarter when we last spoke. Please send it along if you find one. I've got my eyes peeled!

Max and Ben confer about their day.

Katie and Ben have some quiet time together.

Adorable.

Could it get any cuter???

Emilee still working on that cone.
A little random break:

Katie and Steve.

One of many signs near Sharon's house that made me giggle. For those who don't know Spanish, it's saying "We buy gold." What makes it funnier is the drawing.
Out to dinner. I have a standing request to all my friends in Arizona for Mexican food. When in doubt in Arizona, take me to get a chimichanga. So, off we went to Fajitas to get Mexican...though we didn't get chimichangas there. Go figure...we went with their moniker. (Billy originally offered to buy me an item off the Taco Bell value menu...not what I had in mind, but thanks.)

Not posing.

Once we were seated, Sharon grabbed hold of Ben and the two boys showed off their matching onesies.

Since the squirmy children didn't stretch out to show you, they each say, "Mommy's new man."

Katie was thoroughly enjoying our food.

More please.

I'm not certain what Ben was chewing on, but unlike Katie, it was not our dinner!

Hi cutie!
