After our walk, but before we went to the Southernmost Point, we stopped at Higgs Beach. Though I would have liked to have taken pictures, my first priority was dunking into the water and avoiding getting anything stolen. So, my towel and keys were the only thing I left on the sand as we went splashing into the ocean. Ahhh...
Once we cooled off and were properly amazed by the water and relaxed from some much needed napping on the beach, we headed over to the Southernmost Point. Well, as southern as we were going to get. Also, someone started calling it the Thimble and it stuck...amongst us, anyway.

Me at the Southernmost Point (yeah, you've already seen this, but you'll get over it.)

Josh at the Southernmost Point.

Sam at the Southernmost Point.

All of us at the Thimble.

What I think is
actually the Southernmost Point. They didn't have a thimble to help guide me.

Thimble pictures complete, we hopped back in my car and headed over to get our first Key Lime pie.
Mmmm...not green. That's the fake stuff. This was real - with
meringue. The sales lady said she was "persnickety" about her pie and suggested the one with
meringue was the best of the three options in the display case. We agreed...but had every intention of coming back to try the pie on a stick that was advertised.

In case you're there and want to go ...this was where we got our yummy pie.
Mmmm...
